This howl of rage against the prejudice, denial and neglect surrounding AIDS argues the pandemic ravaging the world today could have—and should have—been prevented. Through a series of hard-hitting interviews and instructive archive footage, the film exposes how indifferent, misguided or careerist politicians and health officials, as well as profit-hungry corporations, threw away a golden opportunity to control the disease before it spread out of control. It is a small consolation that the virus has made it back to the top of international agendas now that it is viewed as a threat to global security.
